The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
