SAY: "Call upon those [beings] whom you imagine [to be endowed with divine powers] beside God: they have not an atom's weight of power either in the heavens or on earth, nor have they any share in [governing] either, nor does He [choose to] have any helper from among them." 22 No intercession avails with Him except his He allows, so that when their hearts are freed of fear, they ask (one another): "What did your Lord say?" They will answer: "What is expedient. He is the all-mighty and supreme." 23 ۞ Say thou: who provideth food for you from the heavens and the earth? Say thou: Allah; verily either we or ye are on the guidance or in error manifest. 24 Say: 'You will not be questioned concerning our sins, neither shall we be questioned as to what you do.' 25 Say: "Our Sustainer will bring us all together [on Judgment Day,] and then He will lay open the truth between us, in justice - for He alone is the One who opens all truth, the All-Knowing!" 26 Say: “Show me those whom you have attached to Him as His associates (in Divinity).” Nay, Allah alone is Most Mighty, Most Wise. 27 NOW [as for thee, O Muhammad,] We have not sent thee otherwise than to mankind at large, to be a herald of glad tidings and a warner; but most people do not understand [this,] 28 And they say: When will this promise be (fulfilled) if you are truthful? 29 Say, "A Day has already been appointed for you which you can neither delay nor advance by a single moment." 30
