Hizb 53
< random >
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - 24 When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. 25 Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, 26 and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. 35 and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And [you have the same message] in [what happened to the tribe of] Ad, when We let loose against them that life-destroying wind 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. 46

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
