WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 [To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups? 37 Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss? 38 No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know. 39 But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able 40 To bring better people than they in their place; and they will not be able to thwart Us. 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised! 44
