NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
