(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
