Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 And when the earth throws out its burdens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 Because your Lord sent a command to it. 5 On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
