The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And the breath of morning 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
