(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
