The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
