Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
