Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
