The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
