The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 And the second followeth it, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
