We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
