The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky bursts open, 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 when earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 And he will return to his family rejoicing. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He lived rejoicing among his people, 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And [by] the night and what it envelops 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What, then, is amiss with them that they will not believe [in a life to come]? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 God is quite aware of what they are storing in their hearts. 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds for them is a reward that will never end. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
