The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
