And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 These people say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
