The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
