Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 And ease for me my task 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
