The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
