Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
