The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
