Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
