NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
