Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
