Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
