The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
