The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And no trifle. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
