T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
