Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, writers 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
