۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 His is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and obedience to Him inevitably pervades the whole universe. Will you, then, hold in awe any other than Allah? 52 And whatsoever of favour is with you is from Allah; then when distress toucheth you, unto Him ye cry out. 53 And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 And they assign to what they do not know a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent. 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 avoiding all people because of the [alleged] evil of the glad tiding which he has received, [and debating within himself:] Shall he keep this [child] despite the contempt [which he feels for it] - or shall he bury it in the dust? Old, evil indeed is whatever they decide! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description, and for Allah is the highest description. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 60
