Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
