The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
