Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
