Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha'. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed in the heavens and the earth are signs for believers. 3 in your own creation and all the creatures He has spread about, there are signs for people of sure faith; 4 and in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the circulation of the winds: [in all this] there are signs for people who use their reason. 5 These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 When he comes to know something of Our messages he makes fun of them: For them is shameful punishment. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
