Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
