Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
