The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
