The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
