Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 There are certainly signs in that for those who can learn a lesson -- 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
