Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
