Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And remember You much. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
