The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 Who will be honoured 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For those on the right. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
