The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
