Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
