۞ People, it is you who are in need of Allah. He is the Rich, the Praised. 15 He could take you away if He pleased and bring a new creation (in your place). 16 This is well within the power of God. 17 And a bearer of burthen will not bear another's burthen, and if one heavy-laden calleth for his load, naught thereof will be borne although he be of kin. Thou canst warn only those who fear their Lord, unseen, and establish prayer. And whosoever becometh clean becometh clean only for himself; and unto Allah is the return. 18 The blind and the seeing are not equal, 19 Nor the darkness and the light, 20 Nor shade and heat of sunshine. 21 nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whosoever He will, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear. 22 You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth, to give glad tidings and to warn. Never has there been a community to which an admonisher was not sent. 24 If they cry thee lies, those before them also cried lies; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, the Psalms, the Illuminating Book; 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
