1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
