And (remember) when ye slew a man and disagreed concerning it and Allah brought forth that which ye were hiding. 72 So We said: Strike the (dead body) with part of the (Sacrificed cow), thus Allah brings the dead to life, and He shows you His signs so that you may understand. 73 Yet after that your hearts became as hard as rock or even harder. Indeed among the stones are those from which rivers burst. And others split so that water issues from them; and others crash down through fear of Allah. Allah is not inattentive of what you do. 74 ۞ Have ye any hope that they will be true to you when a party of them used to listen to the word of Allah, then used to change it, after they had understood it, knowingly? 75 For, when they meet those who have attained to faith, they say: "We believe [as you believe]" - but when they find themselves alone with one another, they say: "Do you inform them of what God has disclosed to you, so that they might use it in argument against you, quoting the words of your Sustainer? Will you not, then, use your reason?" 76 Know they not that Allah knoweth what they conceal and what they reveal? 77 And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. 78 Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, "This is from Allah," to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby. 79 And they said, “The fire will not touch us except for a certain number of days”; say, “Have you taken a covenant from Allah – then Allah will certainly not break His covenant – or do you say something concerning Allah what you do not know?” 80 There is no doubt that evil doers who are engulfed in sins are the companions of hell fire wherein they will live forever. 81 And those who believe and do good deeds – they are the People of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 82
