Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
